Welome to the Jack London Square pick!

Tomorrow (Sunday, 12/18) we'll gather in Jack London Square, Oakland, at 1pm for some trash cleaning in and around the square. Welcome first-time pickers and many-time pickers alike! Podcast-making will follow an hour or so of trash picking. If you have plastic bags and a pair of gloves to bring, great. We'll bring a few extra picksticks. See you there!

Vol. 2 Ep. 5: A Partnership Pick through the Mission

It was a sunny and cool day this Saturday when Claire, Masa, and Yamato joined Ray and Dave for a pick adventure through several blocks of San Francisco's Mission District. Check out the podcast and, for the first time ever (drumroll), download the TTRD Podcast Notes to enhance your listening experience.

Thanks to our host for the show, Cafe Zazo, and our sponsor right next door to the cafe, Chez Spencer!

Black Friday Clean-Up!

Hey there pickers in San Francisco, Oakland, and everywhere! Are you TIRED of all those Black Friday ads on TV, in the papers, online, offline, above and below? Us too! Why not save 2X the trash--don't buy the stuff, and pick it up!! We're planning to meet up in front of the Macy's in Union Square this Friday at 10am, and work our way around the neighborhood, cleaning up, getting to know each other, sharing smiles, and NOT buying stuff. Bring a friend, bring gloves, a plastic bag or two, and your smile...everyone's welcome! If you have any questions you can email Ray & Dave at "pickitupsf AT gmail DOT com". See you there!

Park(ing) Day 2011

Hey there San Franciscans! Do you know what day it is today?

Friday, September 16th? Yup, though that's kind of plain. The third day of the new moon? Well, maybe. Gotta check that lunar calendar. A day to pick up all the cigarette butts around your favorite bus stop? Always.

Good answers all, but don't miss out on the chance to enjoy your streets on...

Park(ing) Day 2011!

Do you have any stories to share, pictures from this day? We'd love to see 'em!

rAy's b-day today!
